How to install AI Disclosure Label on XenForo
Install AI Disclosure Label, finish the first search index rebuild and set staff permissions, so the add-on is ready to use.

Before you start
- The add-on needs XenForo 2.2 or later. Current version is 1.0.0.
- Review Compatibility and try it with your forum style on a test installation first.
- Check that no administrator or other add-on already owns an [ai] BBCode. This blocks installation and the installer will not overwrite it.
Install the add-on
- Option one: Add-ons → Install/upgrade from archive.
- Option two: upload the release ZIP's upload contents to the forum root, then install DC/AIDisclosure.
- Explain what to do if the [ai] BBCode conflict blocks the install: resolve the conflict first, then install again.
Finish the historical index
- Open Tools → AI disclosure index and let the initial resumable rebuild finish.
- Explain that it prepares excerpt metadata and native search records for existing posts.
- The search filters stay unavailable until the rebuild completes.
- If a rebuild fails, use Rebuild disclosure index to restart it.
Set staff permissions
- Grant Manage AI disclosure under forum moderator permissions to staff who may change another member's label. They also need native post-edit access.
- Grant View AI disclosure reports under general moderator permissions. Reports require staff or moderator status.
Check that it works
- Create a test post with the AI-assisted checkbox ticked and look for the text badge.
- Try the AI quote button in the editor.
- Once the rebuild is done, check the AI filters on the Search threads form.
