Effective
On this page
This cookie policy explains the cookies and browser storage dcstyle.info uses. Most of them keep you signed in and keep the site secure, so they are always on. Google Analytics is the only optional one, and it runs only if you accept it.
1What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. The site reads it back as you move between pages, which is how it knows you're signed in. Local storage is similar, but what it holds stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
2Cookies we always use
These cookies are needed for the site to work, so they don't need your consent. If you block them, you can't sign in or check out.
dc_style_shop_sessionkeeps you signed in and holds your cart as you move between pages. It lasts 2 hours after your last visit.XSRF-TOKENis a security check that stops other sites sending forms in your name. It lasts 2 hours.remember_web_…keeps you signed in between visits. It is set when you tick "Remember me", or sign in with Google or X (Twitter). It lasts until you log out, or about 400 days.cookie_consentremembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It lasts 6 months.
Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set its own security cookies to tell people from bots. __cf_bm lasts 30 minutes. cf_clearance is set only if you're asked to complete a security check.
3Analytics cookies, only if you accept
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets two cookies. They help us count visits and see which pages are useful. We see the results only as totals, never tied to your account.
_gatells one visitor from another. It lasts 2 years._ga_L1Q4GBZHERkeeps track of your current visit. It lasts 2 years.
If you click Reject, Google Analytics doesn't load at all. Until you choose, it doesn't load either.
4Cookies from other services
Some pages use services that may set cookies on their own sites, under their own policies:
- hCaptcha
- , on the sign-up and contact forms, checks that you're a person.
- Google and X
- set cookies when you choose to sign in with them.
- PayPal
- sets cookies on its own payment pages. So does Lemon Squeezy, when card payment is offered.
We don't use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
5Local storage
A few settings are saved in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us:
dcstyle.xfholds the XenForo version you picked, so add-on lists show what works on your forum.dismissed_notice_…anddismissed_email_verification_noticeremember notices you closed.campaign-strip-…remembers a sale banner you closed.kb_feedback_…andfeedback_…remember guides you've rated, so we don't ask twice.dashboard.onboarding.dismissedremembers that you closed the tips on your dashboard.
6Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Open Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page, and choose again. If you reject analytics after accepting it, we delete the Google Analytics cookies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, but blocking the cookies we always use stops you signing in. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
7More about your data
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use the data these cookies collect, and the rights you have. If you have a question about cookies, email [email protected] or open a support ticket.
