How to install Quote Backlinks and index old posts
Install Quote Backlinks and run the first rebuild, so you can see correct Quoted by counts on older discussions.

Before you start
- Needs XenForo 2.2 or later. Current version is 1.0.0.
- Page advises trying it with your forum style on a test installation first.
- You need the administrator permission to rebuild caches.
Install the add-on
- Archive method: Add-ons → Install/upgrade from archive.
- Manual method: copy the archive's upload contents into the XenForo root, then install DC/QuoteBacklinks from the Add-ons page.
Index existing discussions
- Open Tools → Rebuild caches → Rebuild quote backlinks and select Rebuild now.
- Let the standard job runner finish. It can resume interrupted work.
- The rebuild does not clear the whole index before starting.
What to expect afterwards
- New posts are indexed automatically when saved.
- Counts for older content stay incomplete until the first rebuild finishes.
- No extra member permission needs to be enabled.
When to rebuild again
- After direct database imports or edits.
- After changes made while the add-on was disabled.
