How routing works
- A default route covers all remaining email.
- You can add account/security or notification/digest routes.
- The first matching enabled rule wins.
Add a rule
- Match an email type, an exact recipient domain, or only its subdomains.
- Conditions can be combined.
- Pick a primary provider and ordered backups by name.
Change rule order
- Use the move controls to change precedence.
Customize email categories
- Categories work automatically.
- Use the searchable email list and dropdown to customize one, and return it to Automatic anytime.
- Shared welcome and administrator emails keep their sending context under Automatic.
Set sending limits
- Each provider has optional limits over rolling 60-minute and 24-hour windows.
- Recipient submission attempts, including retries, count toward the limit.
- Emails over the limit wait in the queue until a provider has capacity.
Test a rule with the route checker
- Choose an email type and recipient address.
- It shows the rule and provider chain without sending mail or using quota.
