Before you install
- Requirements: XenForo 2.2.0 or later, PHP 7.2 or later, PHP cURL extension.
- Server needs outbound HTTPS access to the supported feed providers and to dns.google for background DNS verification.
- XenForo scheduled jobs must run regularly.
- Page says 1.0.0 is described as an Alpha 1 build; use a verified release archive when available.
Install the add-on
- Option 1: Add-ons, then Install/upgrade from archive, using the verified archive.
- Option 2: upload the archive's upload contents to the forum root, then install DC/AICrawlerBlocklist from the Add-ons page.
Grant administrator access
- Give the Manage AI crawler blocklist permission to the administrators who will manage protection.
- Open Setup, then AI crawler blocklist.
Let the first sources refresh
- The add-on starts in Monitor mode and queues an initial source refresh.
- Check source health on Overview or Maintenance.
- Stay in Monitor mode until the Google and Bing protection feeds are fresh and nonempty.
Set up reliable job processing
- Ask your host to run XenForo jobs reliably.
